Sunday 12 May 2019: Save the date for this years  Classic at the Villa car show, which promises to be the biggest and best yet. A must go to event for all you petrolheads, foodies and families alike, all set in the fabulous 25 acre grounds of The Villa Scalabrini. Ticket price £10 per person.

Saturday 23 March 2019: Southgate OGI team will be holding a fundraising quiz night with fish ‘n’ chips at the Palmers Green United Reform Church, Fox Lane, London N13 4AL. Starts 19.30. Entry fee £12 per adult £8 for 12 and under

Sunday 17 February 2019: St. Peter’s will be holding their fundraising afternoon tea & bingo in the social club at 3pm. Entrance is £10 per adult and £6 for under 12’s which includes tea, cakes and sandwiches, with the bingo costing £1 per game. Friday 8 February 2019: Eyes down everyone for AS Londra Sud’s bingo night which is being held at Purley in the church hall of St John the Baptist. £10 entry which includes your food and £5 per book of 5 games or £25 for 6 books. Sunday 2nd December 2018: Londra Sud are holding their fund raising presentation lunch at Imperial Banqueting, 31 Imperial Way, Croydon CR0 4RR.  Doors open at 12.30 with tickets costing £28.50 for adults (including half a bottle of wine), Children (5-12 years old) £15.00, with under 5’s going free.

Sunday 14th July 2018: Maria Tozzi’s Dementia Friends Talk, 11:30  at the Church of Christ The King, Bramley Road, Cockfosters N14 4HE. Maria has been involved with the OGI for over 30 years at every level. This year, you will have seen her liaising with the team managers at the pre race registrations.

They are designed so that people can understand how dementia will affect their loved ones, how they can cope with this debilitating illness and what help is available for them.

Sunday 8th July 2018: The Finchley team will be holding their annual summer scampagnata at The Villa Scalabrini, Doors open at 12pm with tickets costing £15 for over 12’s, £5 for 5 to 12’s with under 4’s going free, which includes a BBQ and dessert.

There will a It’s a Knock Out Style Competition for all to take part in.

Friday 19th October 2018: Our Biennial General Meeting (BGM) is being held on Friday 19th October 2018 at 19.30 in St. Peter’s Italian Youth Club, 136 Clerkenwell Road, London EC1R 5DL.

All are welcome to attend and while they will not be able to vote on issues, they will have the opportunity to give their views.

Sunday 22nd July 2018: Italian Procession and Sagra , this year’s curtain closer before Italians head back to the motherland for their summer holidays.

The procession around the streets of Clerkenwell, in honour of our Lady of Mount Carmel sets off from the Italian Church at 3pm. This is followed by The Sagra, a street fete in Warner Street, with music, Italian food and drink stalls all in a very Italian atmosphere.

Well it's over, OGI 2018 went off with a bang, we were very luck this year as it did not rain over the OGI weekend,  even though thunder and lightning was all around us.

Our thanks to our special friends, Angelo Alessio Chelsea assistant coach and Marco Villani the Italian Consul Generale for being there and supporting us.

As my granddaughter said "why can't it be done every year" I know the committee have different views.

Enjoy the summer break and we will be back to normal in September,

The Finchley OGI team are holding a lunch Sunday 29 th April at 1pm in St. Michael’s Grammar School, London N12 7NJ to help raise money for both the Finchley OGI team and the Alzheimer’s Society. Check out  posterfor tickets.

Sunday 12th Movember 2017, Londra Sud are holding their fundraising lunch on Sunday 12th November 2017 at The Croydon Conference Centre, 5-9 Surrey Street, Croydon CR0 1RG. You will be served a three course Lunch with entertainment and the  event starts at 12.30. Tickets cost £25 for adults, £15 for 16's  and below with the under 5's going free. Saturday 28th. October 2017, Saturday 28th October sees the second annual  Rob Delogu fundraising quiz night being held in the Sala Padre Russo at St. Peter’s Italian Club. Doors open at 19.30,  quiz starting at 20.00. Ticket prices are £10 per person (including food) and there is a maximum of 8 people per team. This year with the profits being divided between St. Peter’s OGI and Winston’s Wish charity for bereaved children.

Monday 9th. October 2017, OGIC Golf Day: Hadley Wood Golf Club
The format of the day will be:
11.30am  Registration with coffee and a bacon roll
1.00pm Shotgun start
6.00pm Reception
7.00pm Presentation dinner with prize giving, raffle and auction

Saturday 14th. October 2017, at St. Michael’s Grammar School, the Club Sociale Italiano di Finchley will be holding their most exciting event to date, with their Bollywood adventure. Doors open at 18.30 and tickets for adults and children over 12 are £25 per head, with all profits being divided between two good causes, namely The North London Hospice and Finchley’s OGI team.

Sunday 16th July 2017: The traditional procession in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will have the participation of Cardinal Vincent Nichols. OGI teams will also be walking in the procession behind their team shields. The Sagra which follows, will have the usual association stalls selling a wide variety of food or merchandise, all helping to raise money for the Italian church. OGI will also be there with its own stand, so why not come down to visit us.

Wednesday 26th July 2017: The anniversary of the sad passing of Vic, our first President, co founder and lifelong supporter of OGI. A much loved man who is greatly missed, Vic Heissl, your spirit lives on.

Sunday 2nd July 2017: The Club Sociale Italiano di Finchley will be holding their annual BBQ and scampagnata at The Villa Scalabrini on. The doors open at 12.00 with food being served at 13.30. There will also be a licensed bar, a raffle and it’s a knockout games taking place, so it promises to be a fun Sunday afternoon with good food. Tickets need to be pre ordered and cost £12.50 with under 5’s going free. For further information, please refer to the attached  poster.

Sunday 2nd July 2017: St. Peter's Fundraising Coffee/breakfast morning which is taking place at St. Peter’s Youth Club on Sunday, between 10am to 2pm. Everyone is welcome, so pop up to the youth club to support the team, either before or after the mass and enjoy a fresh bacon roll, croissant , cake or just a coffee, click to see  poster
